Next month in Melbourne...

Early next month Nick and I are off to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival for an all-too-short visit to Australia.

The Aqua Panna tasting of great wines with the likes of Max Allen, James Halliday and Michael Hill Smith is already sold out (thanks to that nice, strong Australian dollar?), but there are a few tickets left for these other two events. And note that the sold-out tasting takes place on Saturday afternoon, a few hours after we land straight from London.  I might actually be awake for the following tasting…

Wines of Wonderland
Sun 10 Mar afternoon
At this, also moderated by Max Allen, and co-presented by
Mike Bennie, Kim Chalmers and Jane Faulkner, we'll be tasting a wide range of what the Australians call 'alternative varieties', exotic grapes from top practitioners, a journey into Wine Grapes.

Find out more about exactly where and when, how much, and which wines here.

Jancis Robinson Wine Dinner
Sat 9 Mar at Arts Centre Melbourne
Guy Grossi cooks a great meal designed for some lovely Italian and Australian wines.

Looking forward so much to seeing and feeling the warmth of sunshine after this terribly long, cold European winter…
