Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio in Australia

The scented Pinot Gris/Grigio grape is certainly the flavour of the month in many parts of the world. It has overtaken Chardonnay in terms of total plantings in Oregon, for example, and there seem to be ever more examples made in New Zealand.
The total area of Pinot Gris planted in Australia doubled last year to more than 700 hectares, 1,750 acres.
