Seven-Star Dream Dinner in London, 4 October 2003

Jancis and I are hosting an extraordinary charity dinner on Saturday 4 October to raise funds for British Airways Dreamflight charity. The charity takes 180 seriously ill and disabled children from the UK, Hong Kong and Bahrain, under expert medical supervision, to Miami on a holiday of a lifetime.

The dinner will be prepared by a 'dream team' of top chefs from BA's Culinary Council which includes Michel Roux of the Waterside Inn; Vineet Bahtia of Zaika; Richard Corrigan of The Lindsay House; Mark Edwards of Nobu; and Shaun Hill of The Merchant House, Ludlow, each of whom will cook a distinctive course. These chefs muster seven Michelin stars between them. Jancis will choose wines to equal their food.

The event will take place at The Langham Hilton, Portland Place, London W1.

Tickets are £500 each and thanks to generously donated services (including the hotel's ballroom, executive chef and staff) nearly all the proceeds will go to Dreamflight.

The Langham Hilton is also offering a special overnight room rate.

Places are limited to 180. To book please email me, Nick Lander, at nlander@cix.co.uk as soon as possible.
