Dão

Duque de Viseu 2000 Sogrape 15 Drink now

Round, supple fruity wine with no great intensity but with good Portuguese roots. A cross between Dão and a commercial Australian Shiraz. Good value at £4.99.

Quinta Fonte Do Ouro Tinto 2000 16.5 Drink 2005-10

Very deep crimson. Almost Australian in its upfront fruity appeal. Lots of fruit and charm and then noticeable carbon dioxide. This wine, treated to nine months in French oak, is the most obviously 'international' to be reviewed here.
