You say Alvarinho, I say Albariño

Albariño in Spain or Alvarinho in Portugal is a white wine grape grown in both countries. For Galicia in Spain it's the main grape of Rías Baixas but it's also allowed in the two other appellations starting with R, Ribeiro and Ribeira Sacra. In Portugal it's found mainly in Vinho Verde, made in the Minho region, but it has also spread a little and it's found scattered throughout the rest of the country in the Douro, Dão, Beiras, even in Setúbal. It's a grape capable of the best, drinkable, fresh (and dare I say mineral or saline?) Atlantic whites...
