8 Month Course - Grape Expectations 2

One of the most enthusiastically received courses we ran in 2019 was ‘Grape Expectations’, in which over 8 monthly-sessions we looked at 16 of the world’s most famous grape varieties. When we reached the end and asked attendees whether they’d like something similar for 2020, the reply came, ‘Yes please!’ So for ‘Grape Expectations II’, we’re picking a different set of grapes which, while maybe not as widely travelled as the initially set of 16, are still capable of making superb wine. In each session, we’ll concentrate on 2 grapes, one red, one white, and try at least 3 examples of each. Don't worry if you didn't attend last year. Everyone is welcome.  The course will take place in Manchester City Centre on the first Friday of each month over an 8-month period.

• 3rd April : Carignan & Albariño
• 1st May: Cabernet Franc & Furmint
• 5th June: Mencia & Marsanne/Roussanne
• 3rd July: Gamay & Grüner Veltliner
• 7th August: Mourvèdre & Assyrtiko
• 4th September: Touriga Nacional & Gewürztraminer
• 2nd October: Zinfandel/Primitivo & Godello
