Barolo night

Sunday 3 November 2013

,

This event has now sold out – however, we are running a waiting list. Please email richard@jancisrobinson.com for further details.

Join Jancis and her team for a night tasting the best of Barolo, that most venerable red wine of Piemonte. The focus will be on 2009, a vintage that is particularly wasy to like at this early stage, but will include a selection of older vintages as well. The producers have been hand-selected to demonstrate the differences between the best crus from the most important villages of this fascinating corner of the wine world, such as the likes of Aldo Conterno, Sandrone, Elio Altare, Vajra, Chiara Boschis, Cavallotto and Vietti. Accompanying them will be a range of superior canapés freshly prepared by Canteen's excellent chefs, in addition to Piemontese cheese, cakes, hazelnuts and chocolates being flown over especially for this event.

The evening will start with a sparkling reception (a sparkling Nebbiolo supplied by Erpacrife) at 6.30 pm, and will conclude at 9:00 pm. A maximum of 120 tickets are available, with members of JancisRobinson.com given advance opportunity to purchase discounted earlybird tickets. Signed copies of the new seventh edition of The World Atlas of Wine will also be available to buy on the night.
