Barolo Vertical Tasting with Truffle Dinner

Saturday 2 November 2013

,

A rare opportunity to taste outstanding Barolo vintages that have evolved with age, with a four course truffle dinner for a sublime match to these wines from two historic producers and crus.

Poderi Einaudi and Marchesi di Barolo are two of the most distinguished Barolo producers. The latter is credited with the creation of the modern version of the wine itself, which used to be sweet until the middle of the 19th century. The former rekindle to life some historic crus in the 1920’s and haven’t looked back ever since. In the esteemed opinion of Robert Parker “…I can't think of too many estates that have made such significant strides in just the last few years…”
