BURGUNDY GROWERS TASTING

Wednesday 20 March 2013

,

No one can claim Burgundy is a simple region. With almost 700 different appellations from 5 different sub-regions, each claiming a unique soil-type and terroir, it can be difficult to understand, but it needn’t be impossible. We have long been devotees of Burgundy – and for the first time are holding a tasting to showcase the full range of this region's wonderful wines.

The wines at the tasting will range from brilliant value drinking wines to the most sought after Grand Crus, from Chablis in the north via the great vineyards of the Cote d’Or right down to Montagny in the south.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to taste over 100 Burgundies at all stages in their development. Talk to the growers and understand their individual styles. Gain an insight into the difference between Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny and Pommard, between Montagny, Meursault and Puligny Montrachet.

The list is not complete, but among the confirmed producers are:

Jean-Paul Droin
Pinson Freres
