Davy’s Wine Merchants are delighted to invite you to our 2017 Burgundy en primeur tasting at our newest Davy’s Wine bar and restaurant, the Tappit Hen on St. Swithin’s Lane.
Our team were in Burgundy this November to taste the 2017s from barrel and are very happy to report that the 2017 vintage offers beautifully pure, precise wines, brilliantly showcasing the terroir to excite classic Burgundy enthusiasts. We will be showing wines from some of our favourite Producers, including: Domaine Rossignol-Trapet, Domaine Marc Roy and Domaine Drouhin-Laroze in the Côte de Nuits, and Domaine Bachelet-Monnot, Domaine Michelot and Domaine Paul Pillot from the Côte de Beaune:, as well as Château de Chamilly in the Côtes Chalonnnaise.
With over 20 barrel samples to try, this is a great opportunity to discover the 2017 vintage. Many producers will also be showcasing earlier vintages to allow you a chance to taste the evolution of their wines. Our fine wine team will be on hand to offer expert guidance and advice on how these wines will develop over the next few years.
