Invitation to our next Tasting – Wednesday 3rd June – The Winery W9

You are invited to our next tasting on Tuesday 3rd June from 17.00-21.00h at our shop in Clifton Road W9.

We are delighted to be joined on Tuesday evening, over from Annone Veneto in the plains northeast of Venice, by Milly and Carlo Paladin, makers of The Winery’s favourite Prosecco. We’ll be featuring their Bosco del Merlo Prosecco, Pinot Grigio and the Lison Juti – a wine previously known as Tocai Friulano until the Hungarians finally kicked up a fuss about the use of the name Tocai.

We will also be showcasing two more winners of the newly-announced UK German Top 50.

Another Winery classic – Thomas Nelles’ silky Ruber Spatburgunder from the Ahr valley near Bonn.

Completing our line-up will be two reds, one from Rioja, the other from Provence.

Fiery Isabel Fernandez’s Longrande Rioja Crianza 2008 flew from our shelves and we have just taken delivery of her delicious 2009.

Rose tends to spring to mind when we think of Provence but there are also some fabulous red wines. Gaelle Maclou’s Domaine de Mauvan has been our Provencal Rose of choice for two summers. On Tuesday we will be showing her herbal Cuvee Classique Rouge, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
