Meet the Napa Valley Vintners: Walkaround Tasting

Join us as we discover the exciting vinious region that firmly placed the New World on the World Wine Map, the Napa Valley in sun-drenched California. It was Stag's Leap Wine Cellars of Napa Valley that triumphed at the pivotal Judgement of Paris blind wine tasting in 1976 ascending wines of Napa to the top of the tree in world fine wine. Today there is a host of excellent of winemakers making some of the great wines of the New World. Our tasting is an informal walkaround format with tables manned by six vintners from the wineries listed below:

Black Stallion Winery with Elizabeth Rice – 2010 Cab Sauv & 2010 Chardonnay
Luna Vineyards with Andre Crisp – 2011 Sangiovese & 2010 Red Blend 'Lunatic'
Pine Ridge Vineyards with John Doxon – 2010 Cab Sauv, 2011 Chardonnay & 2011 Chenin/Viognier
Schramsberg Vineyards with Maryann Bautovich – Blanc de Blancs & Brut Rose (both sparkling)
Shafer Vineyards with Doug Shafer – 2010 Merlot & 2011 Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay
Waterstone with Brent Shortridge – 2009 Pinot Noir & 2011 Chardonnay
This is an excellent opportunity to taste 13 high-class wines and to meet the winemakers behind all of them in the comfort of West London Wine School. In addition Simon Woods, Online Wine Columnist of the Year 2010, will be on hand to walk you around the tasting and answer all your questions whilst hosting some pop-up tastings.
