NON Primeur: A Walkabout Tasting of Bordeaux Wines worth buying
Thursday 4 April 2013
,
N.B. TICKETS REFUNDABLE AGAINST PURCHASES OF OVER £100 ON THE NIGHT
April is when the En Primeur circus rolls back into town and those of you that are on wine merchant e-mailing lists will soon be getting deluged with offers, enticing you to stump up a fortune for a wine you wont see for two years and wont be able to drink for a decade more. As prices has spiralled so much in recent vintages, it is likely that the 2012s will be a bit cheaper and thus hailed as being ‘great value’, but we think the value lies elsewhere – so rather than buying brand new Bordeaux this year, why not come and have a taste of a wide range of cracking Clarets that are drinking now and available immediately?
Featuring everything from great value Bordeaux Superieurs, through Cru Bourgeois to Cru Classé and from a range of vintages in the nineties and noughties, you will get the opportunity to taste 30 examples from across the region – and the ticket price will be refunded for anyone spending £100 or more.
Full list of wines to be confirmed.
