Join us at the Guildhall for a showcase of the superb 2017 vintage in Burgundy and the Rhône along with older wines presented by their own makers. Whilst we can’t absolutely confirm their presence, we are hoping to bring to you these winemakers from Burgundy and the Rhône.
Agnes Paquet will be pouring her great value Auxey-Duresses and her white Saint-Aubin 1er Cru and Chassagne-Montrachet, the latter two new to our list Jean-Marie Chaland will be showing his superb organic and biodynamic Mâcon-Villages and Viré-Clessés. Jean-Baptiste Clair will present his extensive range of white Côte de Beaune from Santenay to top Saint-Aubin 1er crus and his great value reds from the rare Saint Aubin 1er Cru to the most sought after Santenay. Yves-Jean Houser from Domaine des Amadieu, our rising biodynamic star, will be pouring his white and red Cairanne, so well-reviewed by the wine critics in recent vintages.
They will bring with them samples of the 2017 vintage, but you will also be able to taste and buy - at discounted prices - current vintages from our warehouse stock.
In addition, we will be presenting (and not exclusively):
The amazing range of Domaine Faiveley - from monopoles in the Côte Chalonnaise to their famous 1er and Grand Crus from the Côte de Nuits. Splendid biodynamic wines from Domaine Huber-Verdereau, poured for the first time in the UK. Beyond Burgundy - the top Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs of Hoddles Creek in the Yarra Valley.
