West London Wine School: A Night of Decadence – Champagne & Cheese

Thursday 14 December 2017

,

In July AND August wine school founder Jimmy Smith travelled around Northern France including the famous Champagne region. His visits included Barnaut, Krug, Thienot, Devaux, Gimmonet, Pol Roger, Bereche, Fleury, Laherte and Charles Hiedseick and he has hand-selected six Champagnes to taste in one decadent evening in the lead-up to the Christmas festivities. There will be a tutored tasting on the region, production methods, regional districts and looking at (and tasting of course) the differences between the Grand Marques (famous Champagne houses e.g. Bollinger) and smaller Grower Champagne.

There will be six Champagnes on tasting. Full list will be announced shortly. There will be a full presentation (mainly of pictures), tasting notes and tasting sheets.

This is in perfect time for Xmas too – why not treat you and your friends/colleagues to a wonderful decadent evening. The Champagnes will be matched with some stunning cheeses such as Delice de Bourgogne, Chaorce and aged Comte amongst others

Book now as there are only 25 places available (so they'll be plenty of bubbles to go round the group!)
