West London Wine School: Jimmy's Top-Notch Champagne

Wednesday 13 December 2017

,

In July AND August wine school founder Jimmy Smith travelled around Northern France including the famous Champagne region. His visits included Barnaut, Krug, Thienot, Devaux, Gimmonet, Pol Roger, Bereche, Fleury, Laherte and Charles Hiedseick and he has hand-selected eight Champagnes to taste in one decadent evening in the lead-up to the Christmas festivities. There will be a tutored tasting on the region, production methods, regional districts and looking at (and tasting of course) the differences between the Grand Marques (famous Champagne houses e.g. Bollinger) and smaller Grower Champagne. We'll have a few local Champagne cheeses on offer too to soak up the fizz.

There will be eight Champagnes on tasting including a top vintage prestige cuvee such as Krug Grand Cuvee/Dom Perignon etc. Full list will be announced shortly. There will be a full presentation (mainly of pictures), tasting notes and tasting sheets.

This is in perfect time for Xmas too – why not treat you and your friends/colleagues to a wonderful decadent evening. Nibbles and canapes will be served.

Book now as there are only 24 places available (so they'll be plenty of bubbles to go round the group!)
