WINEMAKER FOR A DAY

Saturday 8 December 2018

,

Yes, you like drinking wine, but have you ever considered how it's made? Experience a day of tasting and blending as we take you behind the scenes for a sneak peek at what really makes a bottle of wine.

First off, you get a tour of our working winery and we explain how grapes make their way from the vineyards of Europe to the barrels of SW6. We share tasting tips and tricks, and you learn what clues to look out for when assessing wine. After that you can get stuck in, experimenting with adding acid, tannin and sugar to wine and discovering how it affects the final taste.

Then we break for lunch, with a two course meal at The Atlas gastropub, all included. This is your chance to grill our wine experts or just relax after a morning's tasting.

Back at the winery, the afternoon focuses on blending and you use your new-found skills to create your own signature cuvée, which we bottle for you to take home and enjoy. We round off the day with a tasting of our own award-winning creations.

This event starts promptly, so please arrive on time at 11am. The day runs until around 4pm. The maximum booking for one party is six people. ‘Winemaker for a Day’ is held at our winery on Seagrave Road – the nearest station is West Brompton and we are a short walk from Earl’s Court.
