WSET LEVEL 1 in a CASTELLO

Take your WSET LEVEL 1 course over a long weekend in a Renaissance castle, Castello di Potentino, in Tuscany. Decanter writer and ex River Cafe Wine Buyer and Head Sommelier leads the course. Morning classes are followed by lunches in the castle courtyard. In March and April we have River Cafe chefs joining us to cook all meals. Afternoons are spent visiting famous wine producers, in March we head to the Sesti family in Montalcino for a Brunello tasting and dinner. Trips organised to the local thermal baths for a swim in the "healing" (importantly hot!) waters. Meals are accompanied by the wines produced on site at the castle. Castello di Potentino's winemaker and co owner Charlotte Horton makes exquisite, award winning wines with Sangiovese, Grenache and Pinot Noir.
