This three-day course is an excellent starting point for exploring the vast diversity of fine wine.

We will focus on the influences of grape variety, climate and wine making on the styles of wines produced around the world, whilst providing ample opportunities to taste and compare exceptional examples. Throughout each day, we will emphasise the practical application of the skills acquired by including hands-on experiences in food and wine matching, as well as sharing invaluable tips on deciphering wine labels, understanding restaurant wine lists, and the process of making informed purchasing decisions.

You do not need any formal qualification to join our WSET™ Level 2 course and you do not need to have completed WSET™ Level 1. The Level 2 course is suitable for most people who have even a passing interest in wine. For wine enthusiasts, those entering or already working in the wine and hospitality trades, or anyone looking to simply expand their existing wine knowledge, your education goals can be comfortably achieved through this Level 2 course, irrespective of your prior experience.

Lunch and refreshments are provided each day and the course cost covers WSET™ examination fees, WSET™ course materials, WSET™ accredited tuition, tasted wines, and use of AWC Wine Academy’s equipment. You will also receive your own set of AWC Wine Academy tasting glasses for use during the duration of the course and to keep for your future wine enjoyment.
