Collioure, the pretty Roussillon port most famous for impressionists and Banyuls, is now to be allowed to lend its name to a white wine appellation as well as red. Visitors to this site will know of my enthusiasm for the Grenache-based unfortified-but-rich red dry wines from vines which are also responsible for this, the French answer to port.
