The port of Setúbal gives its name to the surrounding peninsula, which pushes out into the Atlantic between the estuaries of the Tejo (Tagus) and the Sado rivers. The peninsula in turn gives its name to a much larger Vinho Regional, or IGP (previously known as Terras do Sado), that also includes a big patch of country further south, on either side of the Sado river, surrounded on three sides by the vast Alentejo and with a long Atlantic coast...
