Chances to taste fine American wines are far too few in the UK, so I was especially excited by a tasting of top American Cabernets organised recently in London by the Institute of Masters of Wine. Particularly closely involved were US residents Joel Butler MW, Charles Curtis MW (back from his stint working for Christie’s in Hong Kong) and Doug Frost MW.
