New but often old at The Wine Society
30 Sep – Please note that an additional 15 tasting notes have been added to this article.
The Wine Society is a very unusual wine merchant based in Stevenage north of London – a members' co-operative that is embarrassed by excessive profit. It is famous for the quaity of its professional buyers and offers probably the best value wine storage in the UK. (See our Professional wine storage in the UK survey.) You do have to buy a share, however, currently standing at £40 a pop – though it can be passed on to your progeny.
