On Friday, in my introduction to Majestic helps mop up Marlborough Sauvignon, a collection of reviews of wines currently being promoted in these British wine warehouses, I sounded a rather cynical note about the massive recent increase in plantings of Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand's most important wine region. But the good news about Marlborough is that the finest producers are making better wine than ever before. Their vines are getting older and they have invested enormous effort into understanding the potential of each site better.
