Amarone rare wine event at Angela Hartnett's Michelin-starred Murano
Monday 3 April 2017
,
On 3rd April, Angela Hartnett’s Murano will be hosting a dinner with Italian wine producer Carlo Meroni, exploring extremely rare Amarone vintages from the Meroni cellar dating back to 1988, alongside a four course tasting menu put together by Angela and head chef Pip Lacey.
Meroni is one of the few Amarone producers who have retained a traditional style of winemaking, sticking to the classic grape varieties, hand picking and allowing for an extended ageing period to slowly let the wines release their elegance. The winery has been in the family for several generations and in keeping with tradition, they continue to use the Molinara grape in their blend despite difficulties of cultivating and maturing. They believe this adds an extra finesse to their wines.
Tickets are £170 each plus service charge and available through enquiries@muranolondon.com.
