In the 1980s and 1990s, there weren't too many walk-in cellars here. Most collectors keep their wines in wine chillers and, over time, discerning collectors ended up having three or four wine chillers at home. This is when they realised it made more sense to have a room dedicated to wine storage. In the 21st century, saving a room for wine storage is more important than having a private pool!
