Touriga Nacional

The most famous port variety grown also in the Dão region, and producing extremely concentrated, dark, tannic wines with a distinctive floral note in youth. So distinctive are the wines made from it that it is now widely made as a varietal table wine in other Portuguese wine regions and in Spain, California, Virginia, South Africa and Australia.
