Well, everyone else is doing it, so we thought we’d give it a go – not least because Jancis was a TV documentary presenter and narrator in a previous life and Elaine Chukan Brown hosted a series of brilliant webinars during lockdown.
So we put our heads together and thought about what visitors to JancisRobinson.com might be interested in. Our first series of five episodes, each about 40 minutes long, includes an encounter with arguably the most influential fine-wine producer, an interview with a rock musician who turns out to be a wine geek, the story of a particularly charismatic Zimbabwean ex-sommelier, and a lesson in what we can do on our own account in the face of climate change.
Our first episode, which airs this coming Monday 5 December, starts at home, with a particularly lively discussion between Jancis and Tamlyn Currin about whether wine and food pairing is fascinating or foolish.
