They come variously from Niepoort, AXA’s Quinta do Noval and Quinta da Romaneira, the hotel/wine estate established recently, with co-investors, by AXA’s Christian Seely.

Niepoort Tiara 2005 Douro 16.5 Drink 2008-11
In magnum. 13% Slightly woody and herbaceous on the nose. Then lovely mineral creamy palate with complex non fruit flavours. Dry but quite rich. (JH)
