A night in the `crypt` that will bring you to life.
A cathedral of pilgrimage for wine lovers and a monument to tradition, Lopez de Heredia is the most classical of Riojas. Founded in 1877 by Don Rafael Lopez de Heredia and now run by his direct descendant Maria-Jose, who works in the same cellars and uses many of the same, time honoured methods. Both reds and whites are aged, sometimes for many years, in American oak barriques and the resulting wines are some of the most mesmerising on the planet. Come and join Jose-Luis Ripa and his wonderful wines as we recreate, for one night only, his famous cellar of ancient bottles that is affectionately known as the `crypt`. We will show 10 wines including a very rare vertical of Gravonia Blanco:- Viña Tondonia Tinto Gran Reserva 1980, 1994- Viña Tondonia Tinto Reserva 2006- Vina Bosconia Tinto Reserva 2006- Vino Tondonia Blanco 2005- Vina Gravonia Blanco Crianza 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008
