BRIGHTON - Mediterranean Wines
The Phoenicians and the Greeks spread grape growing and wine making around the Mediterranean sea. As a result, vines are found in almost all corners of the Med making it a perfect theme for wine lovers to explore! Join us as we take a 'tour' around the ancient vine growing regions of the Med, tasting a range of grapes and styles as we go. From the shores of eastern Spain, with their rich, oaky reds; to the sun-drenched slopes of the south of France.  We'll explore the uniqe 'island' wines from the slopes of Mount Etna on Sicily, before heading east to Greece and Lebanon.  Lastly, we'll discover the wines of Morocco and bring a flash of North African culture, food & wine into our tasting! Whether or not you manage to get abroad this summer, this tasting will be a revelation and the perfect treat!
