California, The Golden State

James Hocking's Wine Course will resume on 20th October, with "California, The Golden State", featuring six wines from the region's leading estates. The sessions will be Covid-19 compliant and will strictly adhere to the latest government guidelines. Hampshire-based, James Hocking is one of the U.K.’s most respected wine importers, who specialises in importing top Californian wine for the U.K.’s leading restaurants and retailers and is an approved W.S.E.T. educator.  He launched his courses at the beginning of 2020, pre-Lockdown.  Hocking has spent more than two decades in the wine industry, including stints as wine buyer for Rick Stein’s restaurants, and most recently was Wine Director at The Vineyard, the U.K.’s “Temple of Wine”.  He set up James Hocking Wine in 2019 and supplies fine Californian wine to the trade and private customers.
