Clear The Cellar! Chardonnay & Malbec - Manchester

Come along to taste some great wines and help Manchester Wine School get through the surplus wine that has accumulated in our wine stash over the course of the last few months. In this session, we'll take a look at two of the most popular grapes around. We'll kick off with Chardonnay, and not the bimbo me-too style of the supermarket bottom shelf. Expect a couple of white Burgundies plus a classy New World interloper. With the Malbecs, again it'll be a head to head between Old World and New World, with France taking on South America - who'll come out on top? And can Chile offer Argentina competition in the Malbec department? As with all the tastings in our 'Clear The Cellar sessions, the tasting will feature 7 wines including at least two with an RRP of £15+ and a further two costing £20+, which makes the price of just £27.50 something of a bargain! BUT...an even bigger bargain is that a place at all three sessions costs just £75! PLEASE NOTE After lengthy discussions with Manchester City Council licensing team and our venue, under the current tier 3 level in Manchester we can go ahead in our restaurant setting. Although we do not sell alcohol at our events the full menu offering is available to all MWS participants. In line with current government policy, we cannot accept reservations for groups of six or more, or from smaller groups from different households/bubbles. All guests will be seated in a socially-distanced manner from other attendees and you will be contacted before the event to provide contact tracing details.
