Explore Australia and New Zealand

Friday 13 March 2020

,

Australia is home to varied and very different wine-making regions. From the hot Barossa Valley which produces rich, chocolatey and peppery Barossa Shiraz to the cooler Margaret River which produces elegant Cabernets and Sauvignon Blancs. From deliciously crisp, dry Rieslings made in Clare/Eden Valleys to rich, honeyed Semillons from Victoria and Hunter valley. The variations are endless. Regionality is the new buzzword in Australian wine – in this tasting we show you why – great wines from some of the coolest locations in OZ! New Zealand is fast becoming the benchmark for New World Sauvignon Blanc, but there is much more to these 2 islands than that. South Island also produces some wonderful Pinot Noirs, whilst the warmer climate of North Island is home to delicious Cabernets and Merlots and fuller, softer, riper, white wines.
