James Handford MW Meursault Masterclass
Tuesday 4 October 2016
,
We continue James' tour of the Côte de Beaune in Meursault. Located five miles south of Beaune is the sparsely populated but sprawling village of Meursault. Here we find some of the worlds most beautiful and hedonistic white wines. A classic Meursault is distinguished by its opulent, succulent, buttery, character with plenty of Juicy apple and peach fruit. Despite having no Grand Cru vineyards there are plenty of top Premier Cru. James will give an in depth review of the stylistic difference to be found from different vintages, producers & vineyards. We will look at Poruzots, Les Perrières, Les Genevrières and Les Charmes and top flight producers including Mikulski, Matrot & Lafon.
We will taste 11 wines
