MANCHESTER - French Classics for Christmas from Simon’s Cellar

’s that time of year when our owner Simon Woods delves into his extensive private cellar to find some gems to share. We’re running two “Simon’s Cellar” events in the run up to Christmas, this one and another on  3rd December looking at classic wines from the New World (details HERE). There may now be many competitors in the wine world, but France still provides the benchmarks for the vast majority of today’s wines. This tasting gives you a chance to try seven wines from the most famous regions. We’ll start off with Champagne before moving on to three whites from Burgundy, the Loire and Alsace, and three reds from Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône.
