Online: Discover Burgundy & The Alps with West London Wine School

Central France houses Burgundy, a wine region locked in any wine aficionados heart. It is steeped in tradition and home to classic grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Gamay and the expressive Pinot Noir. Within the undulating hills of Côte d’Or, from villages such as Gevrey-Chambertin and Puligny-Montrachet, we find the famous expressions of the classic grape varieties, and wines to die for.  In addition to the diversity we find in this esteemed region, there are different levels of quality from lighter regional wines to Cru wines - an aspect to be discovered on this great tasting. As we move East, we will discover wine regions such as Jura and Savoie who create beautiful, distinctive styles reknowned in the French Alps. The Wines: For this tasting, students will receive tasting kits with 50ml samples of the wines tasted throughout the duration of this course.
