Online Fine Wine Tasting: Allegrini with Giampietro Tinazzo and West London Wine School.

For a rather special evening we welcome Giampietro Tinazzo from Northern Italy's award-winning Allegrini Estate. Allegrini is a leading producer in the Valpolicella Classica area and one of the most highly-regarded and award-winning Italian wineries in the world. Owned by the Allegrini family, which has had roots in the Valpolicella since the sixteenth century, the Company has over 100 hectares of hillside vineyards in the Classico zone. The tasting will include a tasty overview of the Allegrini range, including the famous La Poja and Amarone della Valpolicella, and wrapped up with the sweet Recioto. The Allegrini family estate covers 120 hectares of vineyard in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. Although they have been growing grapes here for several centuries, Giovanni Allegrini was the first to start bottling wines from the family’s vineyards. When he died in 1983, he passed a passion for and a commitment to quality wine onto his three children - Walter, Marilisa and Franco. They worked together to build on Giovanni’s quality ethos until Walter’s death in 2003. Franco now looks after the vineyards and the winemaking, while Marilisa takes charge of sales and marketing. Tasting Date: Friday 12th February 2021 at 6:30pm (the tasting will last approximately 2 hours). TASTING FEE STRUCTURE: For this special two-hour tasting, an exclusive tasting kit is included in the listed price which includes a 75ml tasting sample of each wine, as well as tasting mat, tasting note paper and pen. Note: Tasting kits will be despatched to attendees within the week leading up to the tasting. Approximately two weeks prior to the event, we will confirm postal addresses for all kit deliveries. TASTING FORMAT: Giampietro Tinazzo along with West London Wine School tutor Rosie Johnson will host this exclusive tasting live at 6:30pm on Friday 12th February 2021. This single-evening tasting will be approximately 2 hours in length.  Unable to commit on the evening? No problem! Anyone registered for this tasting will gain access to the video recording of the live event, so you can always revisit any of these at anytime in the future - whether its because you missed participating in the live evening or if you want to revisit the presentation at a later date.
