ONLINE WINEMAKER-LED TASTING SERIES: IONA with Werner Muller

West London Wine School is so excited to announce another fantastic series of ‘Meet the Winemaker’ online tasting series: Iona with Werner Muller on Tuesday 19th May 6:00pm – 7:00pm and Tuesday 26th May from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. Iona of Elgin, South Africa Proceeding with care and gratitude in all that they do, Iona does in no way profess to be all things all people, and in the endeavour to produce a fine glass of wine from this stunning farm, focuses on four quality wines; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and the One Man Band, an estate blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Mourvedre and Viognier. The philosophy at Iona is to make wine that expresses the soils and climate as closely as possible, making use of sustainable farming methods and to maximise the use of natural products in farming and winemaking. Everything is done in-house. TASTING SERIES DATES (Both sessions begins at 6:00pm and will last approximately 1 hour): - Tuesday 19th May 2020 - Tuesday 26th May 2020 COURSE STRUCTURE AND FORMAT: Each evening winemaker Werner Muller will be joining us live with West London Wine School founder Jimmy Smith. Werner will host each session live at 6:00pm over 2 consecutive Tuesdays. Each session will be approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. Unable to commit to each evening? No problem! Anyone registered for this tasting series will gain access to the video recordings of each session, so you can always revisit any of these at anytime in the future - whether its because you missed participating in the live evening or if you want to revisit the presentation at a later date. Each evening, Werner and Jimmy will be tasting three wines that are discussed during that evening's session. A case of each wine covered throughout the course (6 in total) will be available to order for anyone registered to attend the course, so if you'd like, you can also purchase and enjoy the wines with Werner and Jimmy on the night (or at a later date). The cost for this 6 bottle case is £145. Any wine orders received after 12pm will be processed on the next working day. We are working hard to deliver your order within two working days of the order being processed however due to the current environment the wines may arrive a day or two later than expected. PLEASE NOTE: As this is a virtual tasting, only one seat needs to be booked per household UNLESS individuals will be logging into the tasting series with different computers/tablets.
