This Masterclass is back for 2020! Featuring top wines from the Rhone Valley, with the expert guidance from Linda Field. Linda lives in the areas and owns the Auberge Du Vin a fabulous place for a short break to France, so if you'd like to taste some of her hand picked selection of wines and maybe hear a bit more about her wonderful Gite, join us on Thursday 5th March - spaces are limited on this one! The Rhone Valley is one of the most historic regions for wine production, with evidence of winemaking going back over 2500 years! It is the second largest wine production area in France and the first to have an Appellation Contrôlée regulation to guarantee the quality of wines produced in the region! There are many styles of wine produced here: whites are complex and aromatic, made from grape varieties such as Viognier and Marsanne. Reds can be savoury and smoky or full bodied and spicy made from Syrah, Grenache and a whole range of other grape varieties you may not have heard of. And as well as that you can get some excellent dessert wines.
