Seresin Masterclass with West London Wine School
Tuesday 20 October 2015
,
After Wine School founder Jimmy Smith's visit to New Zealand in April 2015 he has waxed lyrical on the superb wines of Seresin Estate from Marlborough. And after the Reserve Chardonnay 2012 comfortably winning the Chardonnay Grape Debate in May it was time to create an evening solely on their excellent wines. The evening will be hosted by Leah Seresin, daughter of the estate's founder Michael Seresin.
The first vines of Seresin Estate were planted in the Wairau Valley in the early 1990s, the vineyard that would later become Seresin's Home vineyard. The maiden vintage in 1996 was a great success, and the vineyard holding was soon expanded with the purchase of Tatou vineyard in 2000, followed by the clay-rich Raupo Creek vineyard in Omaka Valley.
