Zweigelt is the most important red wine variety in Carnuntum. Practically every estate cultivates it. This is why Zweigelt exhibits a great deal of diversity in Carnuntum: it grows on gravel, clay, loess, limestone and granite soils. And the variety always shows itself in a different light. Since these differences are most evident and easily appreciated in wines from individual vineyards, this event will focus on them.  The first female Master of Wine in the German speaking countries, Caro Maurer MW, will host this masterclass together with the winemakers of Carnuntum.
