Spanish Wine Scholar at West London Wine School

The Spanish Wine Scholar (SWS) study and certification program is geared for members of the wine trade and avid Spanish wine enthusiasts. Successful candidates are conferred the Spanish Wine Scholar title (SWS) and encouraged to use the SWS post-nominal as part of their professional signatures. They will also receive the Spanish Wine Scholar certificate and lapel pin.
Course Dates (All Thursday Evenings, 7pm - 9:30pm):
- 15th October: Green Spain (Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, País Vasco)
- 22nd October: Duero River Valley (Castilla y León)
- 29th October: La Rioja & Ebro River Valley (Navarra, Aragón)
- 5th November: Cataluña
- 12th November: Central Mediterranean Coast (Valencia, Murcia)
- 19th November: Meseta (Castill-La Mancha, Madrid, Extremadura)
- 26th November: Andaluæia
- 3rd December: The Islands (Balearic/Canary Islands)
- 10th December: Examination
- A comprehensive Study Manual
- Approximately 80 key Spanish wines from all regions
- Food & wine matching activities with key regional foods
- Professional tuition by Spanish Wine Scholar certified tutor
- Examination fees
- Use of West London Wine School wine tasting glasses
- Access to the E-Learning Package (Multimedia modules, review quizzes, forums, downloadable maps & etc)
- Internationally-recognised qualification certificate and pin for those who pass.
