19 November 2015  Now that we are able to confirm which 40 wines (see below) will be shown at our third Barolo Night on Sunday 6 December at Caravan King's Cross, London, we thought it worth bringing this event to your attention again. The last few tickets are still available via this link.

15 October 2015  We are delighted to announce that our third annual Barolo Night will take place in London on Sunday 6 December 2015

Every year we gather together a roomful of no more than 100 wine lovers with some delectable food and up to 40 excellent Barolos from the newly released vintage, handpicked by our Italian specialist Walter Speller. This time we will be showcasing wines from 2011 – a warm vintage, creating wines of power yet freshness, with ample perfume and complexity. We have already published seven articles about Barolo 2011, including extensive vintage reports and hundreds of tasting notes, to whet your appetite.

This year tasters will also have an opportunity to buy the brand new fourth edition of The Oxford Companion to Wine, which Jancis (and Julia if she feels up to it, having just flown in from Australia that morning) will be happy to sign.

Tickets are £105 each. If you would like more of an idea of what to expect, see this picture review of last year's version, and see here for reactions to our Brunello Night earlier this year. Jancis, Walter and the rest of the team will be in attendance and we look forward to seeing you there.
