Faro and Mamertino update

On my extensive round trip this year in Sicily I also had the chance to taste the new vintages of Faro and Mamertino. The history of Mamertino, one of the oldest wine regions in Italy, goes back to at least Roman times, its wines already appreciated by the likes of Julius Caesar and mentioned by Pliny the Elder in Naturalis Historia (see here for more background information).
