In January 2020 I contributed an article about the Corpinnat group of wineries and explained what triggered their departure from the DO Cava. Basically, they felt threatened by the diminishing qualitative image of the appellation. Specifically, they regretted the lack of sense of place, because Cava could be made in such an enormous area and yet no geographical specificity was allowed on the label.
