‘Our 2013s are very linear, not exuberant. There is nothing extra, not a spare ounce of flesh, unlike, say, the 2005s and 2009s. They’re almost Cistercian', thus Guillaume d’Angerville described his latest range of ascetic burgundies when presenting them in London in March. He sells his wines via Armit Wines, Justerini and Brooks, and Corney and Barrow – a posh lot – and likes to show them separately from the mass of wines available during Burgundy Week in January. We just happen to give J&B’s prices but I think they are/were all pretty consistent with their pricing.
