Wine Relief 2005 Part 1 – Edinburgh tasting extravaganza

• 3 min read

Master of Wine Rose Murray Brown is again supporting Wine Relief*, the biennial wine-related fundraiser for Comic Relief (which this year will be supporting tsunami victims as well as their admirably well-monitored projects in the UK and Africa). She promises that the tasting in Edinburgh on wed 02 mar will be the biggest wine tasting ever held in the UK in aid of Comic Relief. There’s a challenge for the Sassenachs among you, surely?

wed 02 mar 05

7pm-9pm

Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh

Tickets are £12 each and are available from Rose Murray Brown tel 01334 870731 [email protected] www.rosemurraybrown.com or from Scottish wine merchants Peter Green, Villeneuve Wines and Great Grog.

Rose Murray Brown MW says: Bring your RED NOSES to taste about 100 wines being sold in aid of WINE RELIEF 2005 from more than 20 different exhibitors which include all the top supermarkets, high street retailers and independent merchants: Oddbins, Majestic, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Somerfield, Threshers, Valvona & Crolla, Great Grog, Peter Green, Cockburns, Villeneuve Wines, Corney & Barrow….and other Scottish independents.

This is Scotland’s largest charity wine tasting.  This year there will also be added attractions to make this a unique event and raise extra funds for Wine Relief 2005/Comic Relief, including a Wine Quiz, mystery bottle competition, grand raffle and guest of honour appearance.
