In the middle of a heatwave, when all windows and shutters have to be closed, all red wines put firmly in the fridge before serving, and even lifting a glass to the lips seems like a bit of an effort, there is no wine quite as cooling and welcome as a Riesling. High in acid and low in alcohol, it's a beacon of refreshment in a frazzled world.
