French Wine Scholar - Online Course

The French Wine Scholar (FWS) study and certification program is geared for members of the wine trade and avid French wine enthusiasts. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and successful candidates are conferred the French Wine Scholar title (FWS) and encouraged to use the FWS post-nominal as part of their professional signatures. They will also receive the French Wine Scholar certificate and lapel pin. ONLINE Course Dates (All Wednesday Evenings) - 7:00pm to 9:30pm:

• 24th June 2020: Introduction & Alsace
• 1st July 2020: Champagne
• 8th July 2020: Burgundy
• 15th July 2020: Beaujolais
• 22nd July 2020: Loire
• 29th July 2020: Jura, Savoie, South-West
• 5th August 2020: Bordeaux
• 12th August 2020: Languedoc, Roussillon, Provence, Corsica
• 19th August 2020: Rhone
• 9th September: In-person exam. Please note that if you are unable to sit the exam on this date, we are able to arrange another time for you to do this provided we receive at least 4 weeks advanced notice to the 9th September. If you would prefer to sit the exam online, this can be arranged however as this is managed directly by the Wine Scholar Guild, an additional exam fee will be payable for the online option.

The Fee of £575 includes:

• A 200+ page comprehensive Study Manual
• Professional VIRTUAL 'live' tuition by French Wine Scholar certified tutor
• Examination fees
• Access to the E-Learning Package (20 multimedia modules, review quizzes, forums, downloadable maps & etc)
• Internationally-recognised qualification certificate and pin for those who pass

PLEASE NOTE: An optional, supplemental tasting case will be made available for students to purchase. The exam for this course is 100% Theory based however, so while tasting wines will enhance the experience it is not essential to purchase this case to complete this course.
